in June we went with Jan and Janzen, Kevin and Dianna, Amanda and Jed camping at Woods Canyon Lake outside of Payson. It was COLD and my child would not sleep in her own sleeping bag. First time for me to sleep in a tent. It wasn't bad, but was happy to be home sleeping in my own bed. We played a game of baseball with the kids boys vs girls and the girls won. Boys were not very happy. Janzen taught all the kids to shoot a bow and arrow. They had craft time, then played a golf ball game that was really hard.

older cakes
fun with cakes
My husband was pretty busy this week making cakes. He made a graduation cake and a star wars cake. For my daughters birthday party, my best friend made the cake and cupcakes and planned the party, yeah she's pretty awesome. The truth is because my husband was taking FOREVER on the star wars cake. We had a great birthday party. I like cake but now have had enough for a while. My birthday and Amanda's birthday are around the same time so we will definatly have one more in July.

Horrible week
I am so glad this week is over. It has been the worst week ever. I have gone to two funerals for two amazing people. I am sad they will not be in my life any longer. I am sad for the children who are with-out thier parents.
Then another cousin of mine has a seizure on Wednesday, and to top it all off there are little squabbles going on inside another side of the family. Honestly, I couldn't take anymore on my plate after the funerals. I am really looking forward to having the time to reflect on what matters most in our lives and how to cherish the memory of the two that have gone from this world into the next.
Last night we decorated 2 cakes and this morning still have one to do.
time marches on.....

Animals
Marty came in with a swollen eye today and on a sunday. Luckily Calypso has some allergy and antibiotics left over from one of her many trips to the vet. So between the two medications marty's eys is less swollen and less watery. Yeah. Saved money on a trip to the vet. another day of meds and he will be good as new.

My husband brought home a bed in a bag set that he got for $11.00 what a deal. we are really trying to watch what we spend. Yeah watch it go right out the door. Doug is looking for a job, he is a home builder and the current economic situation has devestated his job. Hopefully soon things will change. I havn't had any bites on my car but must sell it soon because I we wont be able to make the monthly payment soon. praying for a good outcome.

Jan 24

Today we went to Prescott, AZ and played in the snow. We recently had a big storm that brought lots of snow to the higher elevations and rain in the lower part of the state. My daughter is 3 and has not seen the now before. so we all loaded up to the car for a day of fun. After our play time in the fresh powder that was untouched until we got there, she was wet and cold and ready to eat.
We finished packing the box that will make its way to afgahnastan, with any luck. It weighs 26 pounds..... hope they enjoy. The art that will go in the box is drying and getting ready to print some pictures to add to it.
