This picture of Doug and Delaney taken just a few minutes before her first little episode. Delaney was born at 9:36 in the morning of July 22.
Delaney had a issue in the hospital and once at home turning blue. She is fine now. We think this is now behind us. It is fairly common for children born with a c-section. The amniotic fluid in the belly is trying to come out an
d she would hold her breath instead of breath when this would happen.
Colleen had a c-section and we were released to go home Sunday afternoon. Kayleen was happy that her parents would be at home with her. Monday Colleen developed a headache, loss of hearing in left ear, nausea, and sore neck. After making a couple of calls the only cure for this would be to go back to the hospital for a proceedure. Since Delaney had issues breathing and she would have to have formula while I was gone, I wanted Doug to stay with her. So I had a friend drive me to the hospital, I am not allowed to drive for 2 weeks. I had an epidural put into my spine and blood drawn from my arm and put into the spine. My spinal fluid had leaked and that was causing my symptoms. I was scared and sad to have to leave Doug and the Girls at home but I really didn't want Delaney in the Emergency Room with sick people and Kayleen was not wanting to give up her daddy.
We had our first visit with the pediatrician yesterday and they will see her again next week. I have to go later this week to follow up with my doctor because of the spinal patch.
Doug is being the best Daddy, he has been taking Kayleen to school in the mornings and picking her up. Today he did a bit of shopping. Holding Delaney as much as he can.
